Well, it's here. The day I've been waiting and hoping for. I thought I'd be bouncing off the walls from the sheer excitement, but it's been more of a slow, steady acceleration of enthusiasm. I think I needed time for it to sink in; I needed some time to realize that I just got myself a new job.

It's not the ideal job, but it's going to be WAY better than the one I have now. I'll be working with people instead of numbers, my commute will be cut in half, the people at the new place (my new co-workers) seem genuinely nice and fun, and I won't have to take a pay cut. I mean, beyond winning the lottery or having my scripts purchased for obscene amounts of money, you can't get much better than that.

Wow. What a great way to end the week. Yay me!
