White Out.
01 February, 2007 * 2:59 pm

We got our first snow since our move to North Carolina this morning. There is about an inch and a half of snow on the ground, and for a while this morning the snow was falling in those huge, cotton ball sized puffs. It was so pretty. The neighbor kid was outside playing in the backyard, and Missy, our pooch, couldn't resist going out there and barking at him, all the while licking snow and egging the kid on. She finally came back in, about 30 minutes later, soaking wet but grinning from ear to ear. So cute.

Non has the day off - his school district cancelled school today, so he took some time to put in the closet system we bought for the baby's room. I love how it turned out, and I'm so glad we went with the one we did. It turned out to be much less expensive than the one we were originally going to get. It's simple - with two different sized shelving units, some canvas drawers, as well as hanging rods - and it works perfectly in the space. Now all I want to do is wash all the clothes we got and start organizing things in there.

After the closet system was secure and photos had been taken for posterity, we went out for lunch to our favorite local deli. This place is good - and I had a great turkey sandwich with a cup of tomato basil soup that was the perfect temperature. All in all, an excellent lunch.
