Our pooch had surgery a week ago - the same surgery she had back in February for a torn ACL, but this time she tore the ACL in another leg. She seems to be healing fairly well, and we're spoiling her lots during her recovery.

Non finished the rock path he'd started weeks ago, and it looks great! It's a mix of slate slabs surrounded by white rock, and I likey. Now our next task is to paint the dog house, followed swiftly by putting up a tile backsplash in the kitchen along with new hardware for the cupboards and (hopefully) new lighting. We had planned to get all that done by mid-October, when we're expecting some house guests, but I'm becoming doubtful.

Non's mom is coming to visit in late October for Non's birthday. It will be her first trip out to visit us since we moved to the east coast over a year ago. I'm excited to see her and show her around.

Today I'm torn between taking a walk during lunch and going to the market to get ice cream (for me) and a cow femur (for the dog).
