Weekender.
13 March, 2006 * 6:27 pm

This weekend couldn't have come slower. I only worked four days the week prior, but it was THE longer four days ever. When Friday night finally arrived, I greeted it like an angry whore with an incredibly generous client. Before I could get some dinner in my belly, we were on the road to go pick up the pooch from her day at the vet. They took out her drainage tube as well as all her stitches, so her leg is finally free of any man-made contraptions. She is healing and seems to be doing really well, despite the fact that she's always bored because she's not allowed any walks or play time as this might aggravate her still tender knee.

The rest of the weekend was fine, but nothing extraordinary. We ran errands, did some laundry, had dinner with friends, and I took a walk. The weather lately has been amazingly beautiful - in the mid to high 70s with a gorgeous breeze. We even left all the windows open in our bedroom last night, and it was so peaceful and lovely. Non and I have been talking about taking a vacation around September or October. We're taking a couple of quicker trips during the summer - one to California for a wedding of a friend and one to Oregon to visit my family, both of which are going to be great, but we haven't been somewhere just the two of us since our honeymoon (two years ago), and we both like the idea of going on another cruise before we start up the baby makin'. So, cruise research is in my future, people! Suggestions welcome.
